Plot Outline:

Kim packed a wedding gown and flew to Prague to marry a man she had only met online. Dave met scores of women before having to reveal a physical shortcoming. At 30, Beth had given up on love before going online. Ryan Googled “gay” to figure out who he was. And Jonas literally found a new life through his Second Life avatar. When these strangers clicked, their lives changed forever.

Maureen Keppy of Forest Lake has seen her best friend face-to-face just twice in their more-than-50-year relationship.
The first time was for 10 minutes at an airport.
"I got to hug her and say hi, and all we did was cry," Keppy said of the 2002 meeting with Chihoko Nakamura.....

“Isn’t this for the desperate?” Skeptics continue to feel the Internet is a pale substitute for the traditional ways to meet someone and fall in love. But exchanging messages in a controlled environment to develop mutual interest is really more natural than contrived matching by friends or relatives, and certainly better than office romances or other likely scenarios in our hectic world. Add to this the difficulty of finding someone who shares a deep love for the Catholic faith, and the Internet can become a true godsend.
